4037629 Private Thomas Philip Jones of 7th Battalion Norfolk Regiment who was killed on 7th August 1944 during heavy fighting for Caen against 12th SS Panzer Division. Private Jones was part of D Company commanded by David Jamieson who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions on the 7th of August 1944. Following heavy losses the Battalion and Division were disbanded in the same month.
